e-NABLE Team

The e-NABLE Siena College team is made up of student volunteers from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. We are dedicated to giving a helping hand to people in need of an upper-limb prosthetic across the country. Learn more about the team below.

Current members of the in e-NABLE team

I joined e-NABLE Siena because I find it interesting and it is for a great cause. At the same time I am learning more about 3D printing. I find e-NABLE the best way to help someone in their everyday life, and so I definitely wanted to be a part of it. I am in the e-NABLE team as a fabricator and matcher. I will be matching e-NABLE recipients to their specific requirements and provide help with the 3D printers.

Major: Physics

Fabricator, Assembly

I joined e-NABLE Siena because I wanted to learn more about 3D printing and thought it was a great project to get involved in to make a difference in people’s lives. I am a part of the fabricating and assembly team, so I will be working with the 3D printers making sure it produces the best quality print as well putting the hand together when all the parts are printed.

Major: Physics  Minor(s): Mathematics

Fabricator, Assembly

I joined e-NABLE Siena because I wanted to learn more about this global community. It’s a great way to get experience using the 3D printer while giving back to the community at the same time. It is an amazing feeling knowing that we are making a difference in the lives of the children and adults that we are matched with. I am a fabricator and a part of the assembly which means I work with the 3D printer to ensure the parts are printing out in the best quality, as well as assembling the parts to create the prosthetic device.

Major: Physics          Minor(s): Mathematics

When I first joined e-NABLE, the idea of using a 3D printer to make prosthetic limbs caught my interest. But it’s a lot more when you see how happy the child is when they wear the prosthetic hand that our team made. I’m hoping to see more happy faces as we make more prosthetic limbs.

Major: Physics

I joined e-NABLE because it is a great way to help people in need. I was also interested in the 3D printing of the hand and the assembly of it.

Major: Physics      Minor(s): Astrophysics

Fabricator, Assembly, Social Media

Once I heard about e-NABLE and that we would have an organization on Siena’s campus, I knew it would be the perfect place to get involved and make a difference in my community. I can gain knowledge and experience while helping those in need which is something I really enjoy doing. I am helping our team by assisting in fabricating, assembly, and aiding in the social media aspect of e-NABLE Siena’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Major: Physics        Minor(s):Mathematics, Computer Science, and Computational Science

Finance and Fundraising

I joined e-NABLE Siena because I saw all the amazing strides and differences the team was making in peoples day-to-day lives, while writing an article about the new group here on campus. After the article was published, I joined as one of the social media coordinators that works on e-NABLE Siena’s Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.  I am excited to be working with this amazing team of students on campus!

Major: Finance     Minor(s): Entrepreneurship

3-D Design

I joined e-NABLE because my summer research partner told me about it when she heard that I had taken a Solidworks course. It sounded like something I would love to be a part of. I want to be able to help people and this is a fantastic way to do that.

Major: Physics      Minor(s): Mathematics

Assembly and Fabricator

Biomedical engineering has always been my dream major not just because I am interested in it, but because I want to make a difference in other people’s lives. Therefore, I joined Siena e-NABLE to finally make my dream a reality. I will be working on the fabricator and assembly teams to produce a top quality prosthetic device.

Major: Physics

Social Media

I saw what the group did last semester and I really wanted to be a part of it. It’s a great cause and I enjoy how much of a difference the group has made and the good they have done.

Major: English      Minor(s): Management, Human Resource Development, and Health Services Administration

Artist and Social Media

I joined e-NABLE because I was inspired by what the club has done for the kids they were paired with. I wanted to be a part of a club that helps change lives and put smiles on faces.

e-NABLE Siena College Founder

Following the completion of my B.S. in Physics and Astronomy at Siena College, I will be pursuing a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering with the intention to specialize in the research and development of prosthetic devices. From there, I would like to either conduct research at an accredited institution, or pursue the path of becoming ABC Certified as a Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist.

Major: Physics       Minor(s); Mathematics

Social Media

I joined e-NABLE Siena because I want to learn the trade of 3D printing, the development of prosthetics, and to be able to make someone, big or small, smile everyday because they have a hand that is all their own. I am one of the Social Media coordinators that works on the e-NABLE Siena’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram page.
